Right when everybody started disrespecting Google on the Tech side of Twitter - saying they’re not bringing any new innovation, we get served two fatal blows - a quantum computer, and then the most powerful AI video generation model on the market.

This makes you wonder what other surprises they have up their sleeves.

How Veo 2 compares to other AI video generators (OpenAI's Sora)

Google's Veo 2 represents a significant leap forward in AI video generation technology. It's a model capable of transforming text descriptions into high-quality video content (up to 4K and 60 frames per second), while being remarkably consistent with location, style, and overall logic of the video.

You won't get your fingers cut when slicing a tomato, like in OpenAI's Sora

Here's another comparison (Sora is just painful to watch)

Sora biases towards more motion, whereas Veo focuses more on accuracy / physics. And larger % of clips from Veo are actually usable. Veo-2 is a lot better when it comes to logic and coherense.

More Real-World Veo-2 Examples

As you can see, it's pretty impressive. Hard to believe that is 100% made by the AI just from a simple prompt. And this technology is only going to be better in the future.

The thing that this model can't generate yet is sound effects with the video. All videos are completely silent. If you wan't to add some music and SFX, we recommend using Epidemic Sound

Availability and Price

Veo 2 is completely free! But there's a nuance:

Right now, it’s not available to everybody, you have to join a waiting list to get access. It is US-only for now, and in Europe, because of the strict AI regulations, it's unlikely that the technology would be available any time soon.

The Future of AI-Generated Content

We can only wonder what Google's recent breakthrough with Veo-2 would lead to in the future - will stock footage become obsolete? Will YouTubers finally have enough b-rolls with minimal effort? There's a lot of questions needed to be answered. But we know for certain, that this tech can seriously improve the speed of video production, lower costs for high-quality conent, offer more creative possibilities, and reduce the need of fancy YouTube equipment

It's important to note, that YouTube's CEO Neil Mohan not that long ago, said that they are pro-AI generated content, they're not going to restrict it. I personally think AI content, especially high-quality one, is going to be encouraged by platforms - as their number one priority is to keep the viewers on the platform for as long as possible, and with AI, you could make content you had no tools to create before. It's going to be whole bunch of slop at first, but then, who knows - maybe the AI-agents would be the new big influencers?

But for now, we're all waiting until Google Veo 2 hits the market not only for a small circle of testers, as this tech is truly revolutionary and probably will change the way we create content.

Even Andrej Karpathy was impressed by it!
